Ford creates $10-million cabinet while Ontarians struggle to pay their bills: NDP

QUEEN’S PARK — Ontario NDP leader Marit Stiles issued the following statement following a Global News report that Doug Ford’s newly appointed cabinet is coming with a roughly $10-million price tag:

“Doug Ford just appointed a $10-million cabinet and took off on a 19-week vacation. He’s giving more of his MPPs a raise and has created the biggest cabinet in Ontario’s history while people struggle to pay their bills, find a home, and find a family doctor.

If the Ford government cared about cutting red tape as much as they claimed, they could start by cutting the red tape in their own cabinet.

People expect their Premier to be working hard for them every day, not handing their MPPs fat raises and running off on a 19-week holiday.”
